Dreaming of far away gardens

Marrakech, Morocco, four years ago in December. The one and only time I’ve ever been there. Again December is around the corner, but where I am now bear very little resemblance to the scenes seen in these photos. It was actually a rather brutal morning here with icy wind from the east and nothing but grey. So I will engage in escapism, dreaming of far away gardens.

I was no novice to Moorish gardens before I visited Marrakech, I had seen several in southern Spain, including Alhambra. Which by the way I will soon see again. But I was still swept away. Wow is the only way of putting it. They know their stuff, how to create an utterly magical garden vibe. So pleased to have these photos in my archive. Makes me happy to reminisce.
