Somewhere in Sweden there’s a farm. It belongs to relations of mine. The land was once used for practical purposes, such as growing potatoes and other eatables. Not so anymore. Those who live there now still work the land though, there’s always something to be done on a large section. Daily upkeep is required, or nature will take over. The person acquiring this land, worked for free for three years. He must have done a deal with the landowner. It was a rather common scenario in the early 20th century. Three years can feel like a long time. The fact that this person did it between the age of 15-18 can only be admired. Time goes so slowly for those who wait at that age. Last time I visited I took these photos. Keeping the green space simple has a charm to it.
