Doomed to lead an anonymous life?

It has a somewhat bizarre location snuggled in between the east/west stretch of Av del Pintor Joaquín Sorolla on the eastern outskirts of Málaga City. As most people are likely to be mesmerized by ubiquitous, amazingly turquoise water, this Cacti Park, as I call it (can’t find an official name), is almost doomed to lead an anonymous life. Which is a bit of a pity. The size and number of cacti and other drought tolerant plant specimens found here are rather fun. Like taking a trip to the Wild West without leaving town.

Taking a stroll in the Cacti Park – doomed to lead an anonymous life?

I must confess that my knowledge of cacti plants is somewhat limited. Where I come from they only exist as house plants. And being naturally drawn to jungle like plants, they have never received my undivided attention. It’s not until relatively recently that I’ve come to appreciate their architectural and modern appearance. Although there is nothing denying their spines are a scary matter. I would be a bit sceptical letting kids and animals roam free in this environment.

As can be seen from the the photographs there are, however, also other plants on show here. Palm trees, Yucca and Jacaranda trees to mention some. I think the ochre/orange colour of the path is a good choice, I presume that is a reference to terra rossa …? I would make an effort to divert eyes from Wonderful Ocean to Middle of The Road plant allure in this particular spot.
