Book recommendations January 2023

If you are in pursuit of interesting indoor activities, how about reading? Perhaps about the gloriously stunning outdoors that will soon be available to rejoice in? Here are three green space book recommendations for January 2023.

A New Leaf: Curated Houses Where Plants Meet Design - GardenRoomStyle

A New Leaf
by Pip McCormac and Jennifer Haslam

Having recently reorganised houseplants in my own home, I can very much relate to the approach of this book. In ‘A New Leaf’ the authors provide interior design lovers and those seeking inspiration on how to incorporate plants in their lives. The book spotlights 18 houses around the world (including United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Italy and Brazil), each illustrated with a selection of images of the entire home with particular emphasis on their plantlife.

A Sicilian Dream – Villa Elena
by Jacques Garc

This is a true coffee table book, no doubt. Page after page of full page photos of the most fabulous interiors at Villa Elena in southeastern Sicily. They are ostentatious and maximalistic and simply jaw-dropping. There are also photos of the surrounding landscape. Which interestingly has a lot more restrained, sleek and very stylish design. You can almost describe some spaces a minimalistic. Naturally with a very strong Mediterranean garden vibe. I like!
